LITTLE PAPER SLIPPER
24th - 30th September 2016
Curator: Marie-Louise Jones
Little Paper Slipper Chapter II features an installation of over 100 unique papier mâché shoes created by women living in refuges. Each shoe speaks with its own voice, while together they tell of how it's possible to take a negative aspect of society and, through imagination, turn it into something beautiful — just as the women draw on their experience of domestic abuse to create positive and empowering works of art.
Little Paper Slipper is a small charity that gives a creative voice to women affected by domestic abuse, and makes that voice heard. Find out more: www.littlepaperslipper.com
